About the Journal
The ASEAN Journal of Applied Linguistics (ASJAL) is a journal of the Malaysian Association of Applied Linguistics (MAAL) that caters to applied linguistics researchers in Malaysia, the ASEAN region and beyond. It is published online annually, is blind-refereed and has an international editorial board. Its aim is to disseminate applied linguistics research carried out mainly in the ASEAN region and to encourage discussion and collaboration between applied linguists in the region and internationally.
ASJAL invites submissions of previously unpublished articles that address research in areas such as language policy and language education, social and political uses of language, teaching of indigenous languages, language and identity, language and technology, language and politics across languages, theoretical and conceptual of applied linguistics, language pedagogy, language corpus and other related applied linguistics topics. Transdisciplinary research articles are also welcome.
